Continuation of the road surface renewal programme
The end-of-year programme of road surface renewal will finish this December with the last works to renew the areas that have deteriorated.
In order to minimise the impact on traffic, this work will be carried out only at night, between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. In the areas affected by this programme, operations will be concentrated into one or two nights so as to reduce the disturbance from noise and problems of movement caused by these works being carried out:
- Boulevard Charles III (exit of the Albert II tunnel), nights of 11 to 13 December, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., traffic will alternate with manual control,
- Boulevard Charles III (between the Serravalle tunnel and the Place d’Armes roundabout) from 12 to 13 December from 9.30 p.m., traffic will be diverted through the Serravalle tunnel and Rue de la Colle
- Rue du Portier, the night of 13 to 14 December from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., total closure to traffic and no parking in order to create a tarmac surface to make the pedestrian crossing safer.
- Rue Suffren Reymond and Rue Louis Notari, on the right of the Police Department, on the nights of 11 to 13 December from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., total closure to traffic.
Signage will be duly put up and manual control will be put in place for the diversions and to facilitate access to public and private car parks and to the shops affected by these operations. Pedestrian movement will be signposted. Intercity buses and those of the Monegasque bus company affected by the works will be diverted and information will be provided to passengers in advance.
Emergency services and the Police will be able to move around freely in all the work areas in case of emergency.
