Monaco Private Label enlists culture, philanthropy and flagship events in Monaco and London to boost attractiveness
Every day, nearly 100,000 people visit the Principality, including Monegasque nationals, residents, workers and tourists. There is one Monegasque national for every 10 people in the country – a staggering ratio that underlines the strategic importance of attractiveness as part of Monaco’s economic and social model.
Monaco Private Label (MPL) is one key element of the attractiveness policy. It brings together an international community of investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders in which more than 60 nationalities are represented. MPL seeks to establish trusted relationships, encourage people and businesses to settle in Monaco for the long term and boost the country’s standing on the international stage.
Two highlights from MPL’s May calendar of activities offer good examples of this strategy:
Monaco: F1 Grand Prix and philanthropy
On the fringes of the Formula 1 Grand Prix, MPL organised a private philanthropy event for around 50 members from Monaco, Hong Kong, Switzerland, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina and the United States. Hosted by network member Mr Murat Vargi, the participants provided funds for the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation and Les Amis du Liban (Friends of Lebanon) to support projects in Lebanon and Cambodia. The event helped to strengthen the network’s cohesion.
London: creativity, culture and economy
In partnership with the Monaco Economic Board (MEB), the Monaco Association for Financial Activities (AMAF), the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer Group and the Monte-Carlo Opera, with support from H.E. Ms Evelyne Genta, Monaco’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, the Attractiveness Department and MPL organised an international event around a co-production of Faust by the Monte-Carlo Opera:
• A breakfast briefing with experts, led by the MEB and hosted at Monaco’s Embassy, featuring around 30 economic opinion leaders (bankers, lawyers, tax specialists);
• A private dinner at the Royal Opera House for around 20 MPL members and senior economic policymakers.
H.E. Ms Evelyne Genta, Monaco’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom: “Through initiatives like this, we are demonstrating that Monaco is much more than an exceptional location; it’s also a platform for creativity, culture and engagement. These meetings help to showcase the Principality’s artistic influence and highlight the quality of the art produced.”
Ms Chloé Boscagli, who leads the Attractiveness Department and Monaco Private Label: “MPL’s private, targeted approach is fully in line with the Prince’s Government’s welcome policy. These exclusive events are our strength, giving us the opportunity to listen to and understand the expectations of future residents, identify real opportunities and connect Monaco, at the right time, with selected individuals who share our values and whose interests align with the areas in which the Principality excels.”
