Cycling Criterium 2025: what road changes are planned?

Port Hercule will be hosting the 50th Monaco Cycling Criterium on Sunday 23 March. As in previous years, the event village will be set up on Quai Albert I and the race route will make use of Route de la Piscine, Avenue J.F. Kennedy and Boulevard Albert I, requiring the following road changes to be made:

VEHICLE TRAFFIC

From 11 pm on Saturday 22 March to 6.30 pm on Sunday 23 March, traffic will not be permitted to use Boulevard Albert I, with the exception of its “service road”. Traffic will also be prohibited on the uphill lanes of Quai Antoine I between Route de la Piscine and Boulevard Albert I.

From 6.30 am to 6.30 pm on Sunday 23 March, traffic will not be permitted on:

  • South Dock;
  • Route de la Piscine;
  • Avenue J.F. Kennedy;
  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted access zone on the quay to the intersection with Route de la Piscine.

One-way traffic will also be introduced from the start of Quai Antoine I, after the Rocher Noghès tunnel, as far as Esplanade des Pêcheurs.

VEHICLE PARKING

From 11 pm on 22 March until 6.30 pm on 23 March, there will be no parking on:

  • Quai Antoine I, between the Rocher-Noghès tunnel and the Quai Antoine I car park;
  • Boulevard Albert I (in its entirety);
  • Route de la Piscine;
  • Jules Soccal jetty;
  • South Dock;
  • Louis Chiron corner;
  • Quai des États-Unis, from the restricted access zone on the quay to the intersection with Route de la Piscine.

CIRCULATION OF CAM BUSES

  • At “Stade Nautique” and “Princesse Antoinette (Railway Station)”, buses will stop in the carriageway to let passengers board and alight.
  • The number 1 bus service will be diverted to Avenue d’Ostende between 6.30 am and 6.30 pm (it will not stop at: “Kennedy”, “Auditorium Rainier III”, “Portier”, “ Spélugues”, “Citronniers” and “Place du Casino”).
