CORONAVIRUS: Four new positive cases identified in Monaco
The health authorities in the Principality were informed on Monday 6 April that following analysis, four samples had tested positive for COVID-19.
This brings the number of people infected by coronavirus in the Principality to 77. Four patients have now recovered.
Twelve people have been hospitalised, four of whom are in intensive care.
In accordance with the principle that has been adopted by the health authorities in the Principality of Monaco, only patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms are being hospitalised.
Those with minor symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home and will be subject to medical monitoring. A total of 102 patients are currently being monitored outside hospitals.
The aim of this approach is to avoid overburdening hospitals and to offer treatment for such patients in the city, in a way which is easy and comfortable for them.
The Prince’s Government would like to remind everyone of the importance of continuing to take action and complying with the precautionary health measures and travel restrictions.
