Eco-friendly travel to the trade fair : Luxe Pack 2023 paves the way (rail) between Paris and Monaco

There's good news for packaging professionals looking to reduce their carbon footprint on the way to the Luxe Pack Monaco trade show. In the run-up to its 2023 edition, held at the Grimaldi Forum from 2 to 4 October, the organisers have decided to charter a special train from Paris to Monaco on the first day of the event. This private train takes a direct route, lasting approximately 6 hours; the €60 per person ticket price includes breakfast, an eco-friendly lunch and onboard entertainment.

Supported by the Prince’s Government, The Mission for Energy Transition and Monaco Government Tourist and Convention Authority will hold workshops on board to raise awareness of "Destination Monaco's" commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

This initiative is a trial run for the show organisers, who point out that the carbon footprint of rail transport is 26 times smaller than that of air transport. If this trial proves popular with visitors, a return journey might be in place for the 2024 edition. The organisers of Luxe Pack Monaco hope to extend this initiative to their other international events.
