The Department of Cultural Affairs presents the exhibition 'Demain l’Océan?' - Quai Antoine I Exhibition Hall – Monaco – Until 7 September 2025
On Tuesday 8 July 2025, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince unveiled the exhibition 'Demain l'Ocean?' in the presence of Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Acting Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Lionel Beffre, Minister of the Interior, and Françoise Gamerdinger, Director of Cultural Affairs.
Organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs, this exhibition pays tribute to the ocean, offering a reflection on the deep connections between contemporary artistic expression and major environmental issues.
Designed by historian and curator Élodie Antoine, with scenography by Thomas Guillaume, ‘Demain l'Océan?’ resonates with recent major international events focused on marine conservation, including the Blue Economy and Finance Forum in Monaco and the 3rd United Nations Ocean Conference in Nice.
The exhibition, structured into six themed sections – The Horizon, Fauna and Flora, Living on the Shore, Setting Sail, The Sea in Danger, Before the Flood – invites visitors to immerse themselves in the ocean world, highlighting both its beauty and its vulnerability.
Thirty-four artists from five continents present seventy-one works created between the 1990s and today, exploring various media: painting, sculpture, photography, video, installation, drawing and embroidery.
True to its scientific and environmental heritage, the Principality of Monaco, nestled on the shores of the Mediterranean, is once again affirming its commitment to raising awareness and engaging in action to protect the oceans.
