Ceremony held to award IFSI and IFAS diplomas and badges
The traditional ceremony to award diplomas and badges to new IFSI and IFAS graduates was held yesterday, Thursday 19 September in the presence of H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hanover, the patron of the Institute.
The ceremony celebrated kindness, generosity and self-sacrifice, all of which are essential in order to become a nurse or care assistant.
The ceremony was attended by Mr Christophe Robino, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Mr Franck Lobono, Minister representing the President of the National Council Thomas Brezzo, and Ms Benoîte Rousseau de Sevelinges, Director of the Princess Grace Hospital.
In her speech, Ms Josette Piazza-Cadiou, Director of IFSI, congratulated the students on their hard work throughout their courses (three years for nurses and one year for carers) and recalled the values of the Institute: “Since 1929, we have espoused the values of loyalty, respect, rigour, accountability, skill, kindness and generosity”.
In their speech, the two top students this year, Laetitia Racca (IFAS) and Marine Guicheney (IFSI), extended a warm thanks to the teaching team at the Institute and the executive team at Princess Grace Hospital. They highlighted their luck in being able to train at an excellent establishment that defended important values.
In total, 21 nurses from the “Elie Semoun” 2021–2024 class and 13 students from the 2023–2024 care assistant class received their diplomas from H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.
