Musical Show Monday 20 March 2017 – Variety Theatre – 8 p.m.

On Monday 20 March at 8 p.m., at the Variety Theatre, there will be a musical show entitled "Chantons pour les jeunes du Malawi" ("Let's Sing for the Young People of Malawi").

Janine Pezzuoli-Grinda was particularly impressed by the initiative of young pupils from the 2nd International Option at the Lycée Albert Ier and their teacher, Marie-Claude Riley.  She generously called upon 25 singers from her dynamic Monegasque association "Si On Chantait" ("Let's Sing") to organise a musical show to raise money for a Non-Governmental Organisation that works to promote children's rights in Malawi, one of the poorest African countries.

"Thinking Future - Keeping Girls in School" is an education programme undertaken by the African Network for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, which aims to enable very young girls – and soon, older girls – to stay on at school, rather than leave to marry early.

This initiative is part of the Department of Education, Youth and Sport's PEACEJAM programme, through which young people are invited to become involved in worthy causes linked to humanitarian projects.  Thanks to this programme, the pupils also have a wonderful opportunity every year to take part in discussions with a Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Tickets will be available at the venue before the show for 10 Euros and for 7 Euros for schoolchildren, or from now from the pupils and from Ms. Mme Pezzuoli-Grinda on 06 07 93 51 62.
