“Harassment and Violence in the Workplace” - The Government Strengthens Its Commitment with a Dedicated Guide

Building on Act No. 1.457 of 12 December 2017, the Prince’s Government is reinforcing its commitment by publishing a general guide entitled “Harassment and Violence in the Workplace”.

This document, developed jointly by the General Inspectorate of the Civil Service, the Human Resources and Training Department, and the Department of Legal Affairs, is intended for all civil servants and contract staff of the State.

Designed as a tool for information, awareness and prevention, the guide aims to provide information on the measures in place within the Public Administration and to facilitate their implementation in cases of moral harassment, sexual harassment, sexual coercion and workplace violence.

The guide outlines the current reporting procedure and reminds staff of their rights, whether as victims, witnesses, alleged perpetrators or line managers. It also underlines the shared responsibility of all public officials in preventing and addressing such situations.

The guide is available via the Government’s Intranet home page under the section “Prevention of Harassment and Violence in the Workplace”, and on the “Mon Service Public” website. It can also be downloaded onto tablets and smartphones using a dedicated QR code.
