Monaco and Trinidad and Tobago Establish Diplomatic Relations
On 24 September 2025, the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago formally established diplomatic relations through the signing of a joint statement by Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and H.E. Mr Sean Sobers, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago.
The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the General Debate of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, at the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The Ministers exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest, including tourism, sport and maritime affairs.
On this occasion, both representatives also reaffirmed their determination to strengthen cooperation within multilateral fora.
