The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs forges closer ties between medical students and Monegasque healthcare institutions

On Wednesday 8 October 2025, Mr Christophe Robino, Minister of Health and Social Affairs, met with medical students and representatives from Monaco’s healthcare institutions.

The meeting, organised by the Committee for Graduate Employment, had two main goals: to introduce students to Monaco’s healthcare system, including the CHPG, IM2S, and Monaco Cardio-Thoracic Centre, and to highlight the medical specialities likely to be in demand in the future.

Remote format attracts record participation

To ensure students studying in different locations were able to attend, the Committee held the meeting online.  The initiative was a great success, with a total of 26 students taking part. The format encouraged lively discussion between students, healthcare leaders, and the Minister on topics such as: the new CHPG and career opportunities, future medical needs, setting up a healthcare practice in Monaco, on-call arrangements, internships at the Principality’s healthcare institutions, and the range of medical services available in Monaco.

One-to-one support from the Committee for Graduate Employment

Before the meeting, the Committee met with each student individually to review their studies and career plans. This personalised approach reflects the Committee’s mission to help young Monegasque graduates transition smoothly from education to long-term employment.

The Minister emphasised his commitment to supporting healthcare careers and strengthening Monaco’s healthcare services for all residents.
