Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights to welcome Isabelle Rome, Ambassador for Human Rights, on 20 November
The Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights will welcome Isabelle Rome, the French Government’s Ambassador for Human Rights, to Monaco for a day of discussions on 20 November 2025.
A former judge specialising in family violence, who then served as Minister for Gender Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Isabelle Rome is recognised for her commitment to human rights and her work to combat domestic violence. Her visit to the Principality is thus part of a series of actions being taken to mark International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women on 25 November, as well as the discussions around best practices that the Committee is organising with its foreign counterparts.
The day will offer an opportunity to meet representatives from the Monegasque institutions, government departments and associations that make up the Committee’s membership, and to explore the different policies in place to protect women and prevent domestic abuse in France and Monaco.
It will conclude with a talk to be given at 6 p.m. at Lycée Rainier III, in which Isabelle Rome will discuss efforts to combat violence against women and the challenges to be overcome in this area.
Entry is free and open to all.
