Larvotto: Launch of Beach Protection Works

© DR

Following on from the works carried out last winter, the Prince’s Government is launching, from October 2025, the final phase of the project to protect and enhance Larvotto Beach. The operations, which will continue until April 2026, involve removing the existing geotubes and replacing them with three rock islands. These developments aim to strengthen the stability of the coastline and preserve the quality of the beach area over the long term, while incorporating eco-design features to promote biodiversity.

Larvotto Beach will remain open throughout the works. Only a small section will be temporarily cordoned off in October. At sea, to ensure user safety during the operations, a temporary swimming and diving exclusion zone will be established for the duration of the works.

All restaurants and shops in the complex will remain open without restriction.

Through these new measures, Monaco is reaffirming its commitment to strengthening its coastal appeal for the benefit of both visitors and local businesses.
