CORONAVIRUS : No New Positive Cases and Three Further Recoveries in Monaco

No new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Tuesday 21 April.

The overall health figures for the Principality therefore remain at 94 people affected by the Coronavirus.  Three more people, compared to yesterday, have recovered.

This therefore brings the total number of patients who have now recovered to 26.

Five people are receiving treatment in hospital, two of whom are in intensive care.

It should be noted that the people tested and hospitalised are not all resident in the Principality.

In accordance with the principle adopted by the health authorities in the Principality of Monaco, only patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms are being hospitalised.

People with mild symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home while being medically monitored.  To date, 80 patients are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre.

The aim of this approach is to avoid overburdening hospitals and to care for these patients in the city in a way that is efficient and comfortable for them.

The Prince's Government thanks and wishes to express its full support for every Monegasque and every resident in these exceptional times, which require compliance with the precautionary health measures and travel restrictions.
