CORONAVIRUS : No New Positive Cases and One Further Recovery in Monaco

No new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 20 April.

The overall health figures for the Principality therefore remain at 94 people affected by the Coronavirus.  One more person, compared to yesterday, has recovered.

This therefore brings the total number of patients who have now recovered to 23.

Seven people are receiving treatment in hospital, three of whom are in intensive care.

It should be noted that the people tested and hospitalised are not all resident in the Principality.

In accordance with the principle adopted by the health authorities in the Principality of Monaco, only patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms are being hospitalised.

People with mild symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home while being medically monitored. To date, 81 patients are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre.

The aim of this approach is to avoid overburdening hospitals and to care for these patients in the city in a way that is efficient and comfortable for them.

The Prince's Government thanks and wishes to express its full support for every Monegasque and every resident in these exceptional times, which require compliance with the precautionary health measures and travel restrictions.
