The Board of Auditors submits the 2018 Annual Public Report to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince

On 8 July 2019, the Chairperson of the Board of Auditors submitted the 2018 Annual Public Report to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince.  This report was approved by the Principality’s Supreme Auditing Institution (S.A.I.) on 16 May 2019.

Pursuant to the Sovereign Ordinance of 2 July 2008, this report, which is available on the website of the Prince's Government, sets out the Board's activities during the past year.

In 2018, the Board of Auditors examined the accounts and the management of the State during 2017.

Secondly, it undertook three important monitoring procedures for which the contradictory procedure had not been completed in 2018.  These concerned:

• the Princess Grace Hospital, for the financial years 2012 to 2017;
• the Société d'Investissements Immobiliers d'Ostende (S.I.I.I.O.) and the Société I.M.2.S. Concept for the financial years 2012 to 2017;  and
• the Société Hôtelière et de Loisirs de Monaco (S.H.L.M.) for the financial years 2014 to 2016.

Finally, the involvement of the Board in the Electoral Campaign Audit Committee in the context of the February 2018 national elections, and the active role played by its General Secretariat, contributed to the smooth running of this institution, which was created by amended Act No. 1.389 of 2 July 2012 on the financing of electoral campaigns.

Naturally, relations with foreign SAIs and the associations that bring them together continued in 2018, in particular with the Association des Institutions Supérieures de Contrôle ayant en Commun l'Usage du Français (Association of Supreme Audit Institutions that have the Use of the French Language in Common) (AISCCUF), which held its 8^th General Assembly in Niamey, Niger, in November 2018, in which the Principality's Supreme Audit Institution took part.
