Jean-Luc Nguyen is Appointed Director of Public Works
Today, Jean-Luc Nguyen takes up his post as Director of Public Works. He also retains the position of Director of the Urban Offshore Extension Mission.
He succeeds Olivier Lavagna, who wished to join the Management of the Monaco Ports Operating Authority (SEPM).
Born in 1965, Jean-Luc Nguyen is an engineer. He is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He also holds an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs. During his career, he has occupied posts in both public service and the private sector. He worked for the French Ministry of Public Works as district manager in Calais, then at the Public Establishment of the new town of Cergy-Pontoise. He then managed several subsidiaries of Nexity, one of France's leading real estate developers, and managed the urban planning, environment and energy division for Setec, an engineering group.
After a first mission from 2007 to 2009, he joined the Ministry of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development definitively in 2015, as Director of the Urban Offshore Extension Mission and Director of the Mission for Energy Transition.
