5th Monaco Artist's Forum opens as virtual exhibition - www.forumdesartistes.mc

The 5^th Monaco Artist's Forum will open its doors at 11 a.m. on 5 June on the website www.forumdesartistes.mc .

Usually held in early June at the Rainier III Auditorium, this eagerly awaited biennial event for artists in Monaco will this year take the form of a virtual exhibition.

The initiative, organised by the Department of Cultural Affairs at the behest of the Prince’s Government, aims to support local artists and incorporate them as part of the Principality’s cultural policy.

More specifically during this health crisis, the objective is to provide continuity in the country’s cultural programming and to offer a satisfactory alternative for the many people who participate in the event.

Nearly 80 artists, both amateur and professional and including Monegasque nationals and residents, are presenting their work – painting, sculpture or photography – on the Web.

This fifth forum will once again offer the public an opportunity to vote (online) for their favourite work. The winner will be announced on 13 June on the website’s home page, which will showcase the chosen work and the artist behind it.

The virtual art gallery will be accessible until Friday 3 July. The catalogue of the 5^th Monaco Artist's Forum can be downloaded and kept as a souvenir of this special format event.
