Monegasque "Well-Being" is Showcased in New York
As part of the Principality's sustainable and responsible tourism strategy, the New York office of Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) recently organised an evening event on the theme of "well-being" at the "AIRE Ancient Baths" Greco-Roman thermal baths in New York.
This event, which was attended by 24 journalists, was an opportunity to recall the history of the thermal baths in Monaco, from the creation of the bathing establishment, L'Établissement des Bains, in 1860 to the present-day technological gem, the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo.
Cindy Hoddeson, Director of Monaco's Tourist Office in North America, gave a presentation on all the treatment and well-being services in the Principality. Ms. Hoddeson also announced that Monaco was the first destination and one of the founding members of the Wellness Tourism Association.
Two partners also took part in the event - Kusmi Tea and the Spa Métropole by Givenchy. Guests were presented with a small succulent plant, inviting them to visit Monaco's Exotic Garden and reminding them of the Principality's commitment to the environment.
Independent journalists and editors of renowned American media such as The New York Times, CNN Travel, Forbes, Harper's Bazaar, Robb Report, USA Today, People Magazine, Food Network, Bon Appétit and Departures were present at this event.
