Covid-19 : Seventeen New Positive Cases and 25 Recoveries on Monday 6 December

Seventeen new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Monday 6 December.

This therefore brings the overall health figures for the Principality to 3,902 people affected by the Coronavirus since the beginning of the health crisis.

This evening, nine people are being treated at the CHPG:  seven people, two of whom are residents, are provided in-patient care.  Two other patients, who are non-resident, are in intensive care.

There are 25 further recoveries to be noted.  The total number of people who have recovered is 3,736.

This Monday evening, 118 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre, which provides medical support to patients with mild symptoms, who are invited to self isolate at home.

In line with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this regard, these daily health assessment figures report only on resident persons affected by the Coronavirus.

The Prince's Government is also communicating the figures relating to testing.  These figures are as of Sunday 5 December inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on resident and non-resident patients between 29/11 and 05/12 inclusive:  6,470 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Rate of positive tests carried out on residents and non-residents:  4.16%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of persons testing positive per 100,000 inhabitants over the past seven days:  409.39 (453.72 last week).
