Mapping the future

This episode of Life explores the future infrastructure of Monaco. The principality is just two square kilometres in size. This scarcity of land has led the principality to extend progressively into the sea and work should begin on an ambitious new offshore urban extension project late next year. To illustrate the sustainability of the future building and Monaco's environmental commitment, our reporter visits the Grimaldi Forum. Built 15 years ago, the Forum was ahead of its time and uses sea water to 'power' the air conditioning and heating system.
