Gouvernement Princier de Monaco

The Public Service

"Combining the energy of the private sector and the rigour of the public sector"

During his coronation speech in 2005, Prince Albert II of Monaco made the modernisation of the public service a priority.

With almost 4,000 employees, the community of civil servants constitutes the engine of the Prince's Government to implement its action and to provide to the various members of the public the services that they have come to expect from a modern State.

The modification of the status for  civil servants, mobility, training, assessment, and the recognition of skills will all enable the Monegasque Public Service to become more modern.

People can see what progress has already been made in the last few years. Increased flexibility for completing administrative formalities, the gradual introduction of e-procedures, longer opening hours, new ways to interact with the public, and simplified documents are all practical and visible measures.

The creation of the Department of e-Government and Public Information is a concrete example of how the Prince’s Government has put the public at the centre of its preoccupations.
