At this meeting, chaired by Mr. Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior, in the presence of Mrs. Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport and Mr. André Garino, President of the Economic and Social Council (CES), thirty or so pupils from schools in the Principality, divided into four groups, successively gave presentations on projects that expressed their wishes :

-          a wish relating to producing and marketing organic honey from Monaco;

-          a wish relating to setting up trails to enable visitors to discover another facet of Monaco;

-          a wish relating to creating a via ferrata on the Rock;

-          a wish relating to creating a therapeutic sensory garden.

Pupils enrol in this optional programme at the beginning of the school year, on a voluntary basis.  They are supervised by CES members and specialist teachers and meet with representatives from the Government and the private sector in order to develop their project.

The Young People’s Economic and Social Council was created with the aim of involving pupils in their country's future within the framework of an educational project.  It also aims to teach them values such as discussion, listening, working together and reaching a consensus.

The Assembly then conveys these wishes to the Government, which, when feasible, brings them into being.  All the wishes made in the context of this 10th meeting have been adopted.
