Roadworks planned in Principality from late October to early November 2016

Le plan global de la campagne de réfection des enrobés d'octobre et novembre 2016

Between 27 October and 10 November, the Department of Urban Amenities will be carrying out roadworks in five areas of Monaco. The roadworks will be conducted in two phases – road planing followed by resurfacing – and are required to ensure the quality of traffic lanes.

The five areas affected by these works are as follows:

Zone 1 – Avenue Saint Michel between Rue des Iris and Avenue de la Costa: night of Thursday 27 to Friday 28 October 2016, from 8 pm to 3 am, road planing and resurfacing.

This work will require the closure of Avenue Saint Michel between Rue des Iris and Avenue de la Costa from 8 pm until 3 am. In order to maintain the flow of traffic in the direction of Boulevard des Moulins, a contraflow will be put in place on Avenue Princesse Charlotte between Place de la Crémaillère and the crossroads with Avenue de la Madone.

Manual traffic control will be in place at the Madone roundabout in order to direct drivers and explain the two-way traffic flow.

The bus services which use Avenue Saint Michel will be diverted via Boulevard Princesse Charlotte from 8 pm to ensure good, safe working conditions.

Zone 2 – Rue Grimaldi between Rue Princesse Caroline and Place d’Armes: night of Thursday 27 to Friday 28 October 2016, from 8 pm to 3 am, road planing and resurfacing.

This work will require the closure of Rue Grimaldi between Rue Baron de Sainte Suzanne and Place d’Armes from 11 pm until 6 am. Vehicles wishing to travel towards Cap d’Ail will be diverted via the Auréglia roundabout.

Zone 3 – Boulevard du Ténao from Tour Odéon to the roundabout behind Château Périgord II: night of Wednesday 2 to Thursday 3 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, road planing; night of Thursday 3 to Friday 4 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, resurfacing.

This work will require the closure of Boulevard du Ténao from the Tour Odéon building to the Boulevard du Ténao roundabout (Villa Joséphine) from 8 pm to 6 am. Users affected by these closures will not be able to access their car park during this time.

Lacets Saint Léon will be blocked at the Boulevard du Ténao roundabout. Only local residents approaching from Boulevard d’Italie will be able to access the road. Manual traffic control will be in place at the Boulevard d’Italie roundabout to direct drivers and allow local residents through. Other vehicles will be diverted.

Zone 4 – Avenue du Port in its entirety: night of Thursday 3 to Friday 4 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, road planing; night of Friday 4 to Saturday 5 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, resurfacing.

This work will require the closure of Avenue du Port from 8 pm to 6 am. Users affected by the closures indicated on the attached plan will not be able to access their car park during this time. Manual traffic control will be in place at the Place d’Armes roundabout to direct drivers and allow local residents through. Other vehicles will be diverted.

Access to the port via the Serravalle tunnel will be closed to traffic from 8 pm. Avenue de la Quarantaine will be closed and access to the Parking des Pêcheurs car park will be via Quai Antoine I and Esplanade des Pêcheurs.

The bus services which use Avenue du Port will be diverted from 8 pm to ensure good, safe working conditions.

Zone 5 – Boulevard d’Italie in its entirety: nights of Sunday 6 to Monday 7 November and Monday 7 to Tuesday 8 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, road planing. Nights of Monday 7 to Thursday 10 November 2016 from 8 pm to 6 am, resurfacing.

This work will require full closure of Boulevard d’Italie from Sunday 6 November at 8 pm, as well as closure of the route down to Boulevard d’Italie via Lacets St Léon (except for residents) until Thursday 10 November at 6 am. The road will be reopened during the day.

During the night, manual traffic control will be introduced at Place des Moulins and on Boulevard du Ténao to direct drivers and allow local residents through. Other vehicles will be diverted.

The bus services which use Boulevard d’Italie will be diverted from 8 pm to ensure good, safe working conditions.
