Tripartite Meeting on Negotiations with the European Union Monaco, Andorra and San Marino

En marge des Jeux des Petits Etats d'Europe, le mardi 30 mai 2017, Serge Telle, Ministre d'Etat et Antoni Martí Petit, Chef du Gouvernement de la Principauté d’Andorre, ont été reçus en Audience privée par leurs Excellences les Capitaines Régents de St Marin.

On Tuesday 30 May 2017, as a side-event of the Games of the Small States of Europe, Serge Telle, Minister of State and Antoni Martí Petit, Head of Government of the Principality of Andorra, were received in a private Audience by Their Excellencies the Captains Regent of San Marino.

After a visit to the Government Palace, they were invited, with their delegation*, to a working lunch held by Nicola Renzi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs and Justice of the Republic of San Marino, to discuss the progress of negotiations with the European Union since March 2015.

These discussions between the three Heads of Government follow on from the first working meeting held in Monaco on 18 March 2017.  The next meeting will be held in the autumn in Andorra.

Serge Telle, Nicola Renzi and Antoni Martí Petit then went to the San Marino television headquarters, San Marino RTV, to record a political programme on the subject of Europe.

At this event, Serge Telle stated that, "These tripartite meetings are important because they allow us to better understand our respective special characteristics and shared concerns.  Our three countries are similar in their centuries-old history and their openness to the world.  We are stronger in our negotiations with the European Union when we speak with one voice. "

Ms. Maria Ubach Font, Ambassador of the Principality of Andorra to the European Union, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Federal Republic of Germany,  H.E. Mr. Enric Tarrado Vives, Ambassador of the Principality of Andorra to the Principality of Liechtenstein, the Principality of Monaco, the Republic of San Marino and the Swiss Confederation and Guillem Casal, Deputy Director of the Cabinet of the Head of Government.
