3rd Monaco Week in China Chengdu, 28 May to 4 June 2016

Under the aegis of the Embassy of Monaco in China, the third Monaco Week in China will be held in Chengdu (capital of Sichuan Province) from 28 May to 3 June 2016.

Since 2014, Monaco Week has offered an opportunity to promote the advantages of the Principality in China. As part of the event, Monegasque organisations including the Tourist and Convention Authority, the Prince Albert II Foundation, the Yacht Club de Monaco, Monaco Yacht Show and Société des Bains de Mer will showcase what makes them stand out, the excellence to be found in Monaco and its uniqueness as a destination.

Thanks to its knowledge and strong position on the Chinese luxury market, the media group BluInc Media China (China Boating, Luxury Properties, Spa Asia, Jet Asia,…), the co-organiser of the event, plays a key role in helping to connect and adapt Monegasque expertise to Chinese expectations.

Following events in Shanghai and Beijing, this is the first time that a Monegasque delegation has visited Chengdu, China’s fourth largest city and the leading economic and financial centre in Western China, with a population of 20 million. The region has been experiencing strong economic growth for a number of years, and offers enormous potential. Boosted by this expansion of the economy, the city has an international airport which handles 40 million passengers per year.

On the Monegasque side, it is also worth highlighting the presence of Monte-Carlo Bay’s Michelin-starred chef Marcel Ravin, who will demonstrate his talent and creativity at two exclusive dinners. The Hotel Fairmont Monte-Carlo and Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo will also be at the event.
