Accreditation of US Ambassador to Monaco

On Friday 16 March 2018, H.E. Ms Jamie McCourt, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, presented her credentials to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince. She was then welcomed to the residence of H.E. the Minister of State for a dinner hosted by H.S.H. Prince Albert II.

Jamie D. McCourt, a native of California, was confirmed by the US Senate as Ambassador of the United States of America to the French Republic and the Principality of Monaco.

She is the founder and CEO of Jamie Enterprises, and the former co-owner of baseball club the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ms McCourt became the highest ranking woman in Major League Baseball, first as Vice President of the Dodgers in 2004, then as President (2005) and finally CEO (2009) of the club.

The Ambassador was previously a lawyer in international and securities law in New York, as well as in corporate, real estate and family law in Boston. She then spent ten years as Vice President and General Counsel of McCourt Co., a family real estate development company based in Boston.
