Circus Arts Meeting at the École de Fontvieille

Ms. Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport, had the honour this morning of welcoming the daughter of H.S.H. Princesse Stéphanie, Miss Camille Gottlieb, and Mrs. Guilaine Telle, wife of H.E. the Minister of State, on the occasion of a visit to an exhibition held at the École de Fontvieille school on the world of the circus.

This exhibition is part of an educational scheme entitled "Circus Arts and Heritage."  It is being offered to pupils of primary schools in the Principality in connection with the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival – it follows on from an educational performance that took place in the Fontvieille Big Top on 26 January 2017.

The "Circus Arts and Heritage Scheme," the aim of which is to promote the cultural heritage of the Principality, has enabled 35 classes (the upper section of nursery school and Years 5 and 6), i.e. a total of 900 pupils, to familiarise themselves with the varied and fascinating world of the circus through 4 different modules ("Circus Arts," Literature and the Circus," "The Circus in Class" and "Science.")
