As the Monaco Business trade fair drew to a close on Tuesday 14 November 2017, Mr Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, presented the Prince’s Government Prize to the winner of the 22nd Business Creation Competition, organised by the Junior Chamber International Monaco.

This year the jury, made up of representatives drawn from the public and private sectors, awarded the Prince’s Government Prize, worth €40,000, to Robert Boisbouvier for his recently created company PAPYRUS. The young Monegasque has set up an online platform which connects graduates in the workplace and students to allow the latter to benefit from personal academic and careers guidance sessions.

The second prize, awarded by the Junior Chamber International and worth €21,000, was this year presented to another young Monegasque, Sacha Savoca, for the company he created in 2017. LINK YOUR LEISURE is a digital application which aims to facilitate organisation of and access to leisure activities in a given region, thereby promoting stakeholders in the relevant leisure and tourism industry. This young company was also chosen by the MonacoTech jury during its most recent selection process.

Finally, the jury decided to support the business plans of Melahat Zorlu, awarding her the Athos Partners Choice Prize for her SIGN ME UP project, the aim of which is to offer sign language training and services in the Principality.

During his speech, the Minister of Finance and Economy congratulated all of the candidates and applauded the efforts of the teams at the Junior Chamber International Monaco, who work with professionalism and energy to organise a very wide range of activities throughout the year to promote entrepreneurship and young people in the Principality.
