Digital transition at heart of Principality’s development
At a press breakfast this morning, the Minister of State and Frédéric Genta, Interministerial Chief Digital Officer for the Principality, presented the challenges involved in Monaco’s digital switch over.
Recalling the importance of the changing digital landscape, the Minister of State emphasised “the need to develop a strategy for the country’s economic transformation by means of digital technology, and to ensure the full transition of the Principality, enabling it to achieve the same level of excellence as other major players in this field.”
Frédéric Genta, whose recent appointment reflects the wish of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the Government to give Monaco an edge in global digital competition, explained that his role was to “establish a road map which will launch Monaco into the digital world and create a digital ecosystem in the country.”
