Public Car Parks Office – Double Certification ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 Validated for the Seventh Consecutive Year
The Public Car Parks Office has validated its double "ISO 9001 Quality" and "ISO 14001 Environment" certification. These two ISO standards are defined by the International Organization for Standardization, which specifies the criteria to be met by the entity concerned in terms of "the quality management system" and "the environment." As a reminder, in 2011, the Public Car Parks Office was the first Government body to obtain double certification.
The ISO 9001 standard covers the following areas:
- customer care (satisfaction surveys, dealing with requests and complaints, etc.)
- process management (management, human resources, customer service, etc.)
- evaluation of suppliers
- involvement of the staff
- continuous improvement of the quality management system.
Standard ISO 14001 relates to:
- reducing any significant impact on the environment
- careful use of resources
- evaluation of suppliers in line with environmental criteria
- involvement of the staff
- continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
After a five-day audit, the auditor identified, among the department's strong points, a clear strategy demonstrating a wish to help preserve the environment, such as the use of energy-saving and environmentally friendly products for lighting, the use of management tools that enable optimised information management and a pricing policy and subscriptions that are in line with the environmental policy.
The auditor also highlighted the management staff's commitment to the optimised management of car parks, staff involvement and the quality of the equipment for car parks - video – which offers a sense of security, and very good environmental culture and awareness.
