Department of Information Technology

Role

The Department of Information Technology, under the authority of the Minister of State, is tasked with:

  • Studying, developing, implementing and operating management applications for the proper functioning of administrative services
  • The IT advice and support to administrative services
  • The security of computer servers and data confidentiality under the legislation in force on the protection of personal data 
  • The monitoring and implementation of office applications, websites and document management applications
  • Hosting servers and software on behalf of administrative services
  • The monitoring and deployment of internal networks and Internet access, and various access directories to IT applications, access controls and the management of the staff flexi-time system
  • The provision of  IT services on behalf of other public entities that have been specifically designated 
  • The provision of a user support center to help users deal with any problems they may encounter when using IT systems
  • Operating a technological watch to keep up with technical advances
